AGL Open Qualifier #8

In this open qualifier, you will be competing for a chance to play in ALT StarCraft's $500 monthly tournament. There are 24 open qualifying spots and we are proud to now be using CSN as our sole tournament hosting website. Only the winner of the tournament will qualify. Do not fret though! You can sign up for all of qualifiers if you so chose. However, you may only qualify once. If a previously qualified player signs up, he will be kicked from the open qualifier (but will not lose his or her spot in the AGL).

This is an open sign-up tournament. First come first serve. NO ONE is guaranteed a spot. The winner will be signed up by the admin after the tournament concludes.

ALT StarCraft Tournament Rules and Regulations:

• If you type "gg" at any time (other than initial gl hf gg) or simply leave you concede and lose the game. This is to prevent any offensive "gg" in order to force an opponent to leave unintentionally.
• Disruptive behavior or faliure to follow the rules wlil result in an immediate disqualification from the the tournament. Repeat offenders wlil be banned entirely.
• You must play with the Battle.net ID that you signed up with. NO EXCEPTIONS!
• Foul, inappropriate, abusive, or abrasive language toward players, admins, or spectators wlil not be tolerated.
• You must contact your opponent on Battle.net to initiate your match. Most players hang out in the “altstarcraft” channel although not everyone is there.
• All Semi-Finals and Finals (marked as such on the brackets page) wlil require either an admin's presence in the game or the approval of an admin to begin the game.
• The 10 minute grace period for submitting a forfeit win wlil begin when a tournament administrator has contacted the unavaliable player. A time stamp via screen shot wlil be taken since Battle.net does not have time stamps in its chat system. If the unavaliable player is not accepting messages from users not on his/hers friend the same protocol wlil be followed. Once the admin initiated grace period has expired the player may submit for a forfeit win. However, if the player wishes to wait for the unavaliable player, an additional 10 minutes (15 minutes for AGL) wlil be granted. Once this player initiated period has expired that player wlil be advanced regardless of their desire to play their opponent.
• If there is a disconnect in a game a tournament administrator wlil review the game (regardless of the reason for the disconnect) and determine if the game shall be replayed or if one player had a clear advantage over the other and a win wlil be issued to that player.
• Any disconnect that occurs before the 5 minute mark (in game time) wlil be replayed unless either player wants an admin to review said game.
• If a player disconnects twice (or more) in the same tournament then that game wlil be declared a loss for the disconnecting player.
• Any games/matches played on maps not in the map pool wlil be declared invalid and the game/match must be replayed.
• Absolutely NO spectators are allowed in-game. Those uled as tournament admins are the only personnel allowed in tournament matches.
• If your game is observed by a tournament official, it wlil be streamed on twitch.tv/altstarcraft, recorded, and placed on YouTube.com/knacksc2.
• After your match has completed the winner of the match wlil be responsible for reporting the results. If you are unsure how to submit a result, please view the FAQ.
• or Best of 1 Matches, the map is predetermined and wlil be uled on the bracket page.
• For Best of 3 and Best of 5 Matches, the first map is predetermined and wlil be uled on the bracket page. All subsequent games wlil be loser's pick.
• Disqualification from tournaments and forfeits are final and wlil never be reviewed unless deemed necessary by the tournament administrators.

It is the player's responsibliity to be avaliable to play their match. Holding up the bracket is both disrespectful to other players and tournament organizers alike. Circumstances beyond ALT StarCraft's control may apply but everything is at ultimately at the discretion of the tournament administrators.
