playBLACKOPS Launch Cup

The Cyber Sports Network is excited to launch their very first console gaming event. The "playBLACKOPS" Cup Series will be a monthly series of single elimination brackets powered by CSN. Each Cup will be a single elimination bracket of 32 teams with the winning team taking home $150.00. This cash prize will be paid out immediately to the Team Captain upon completion of the event.

Why keep playing on meaningless ladders, when you can play for a little cash and finish an event in less then 3 days? The Cyber Sports Network will offer the xbox 360 Black Ops community another option for competitions. At this point, we realize that the prize money is not substantial, but with time and help from the community we believe we can offer the xbox 360 community more opportunity and better competition.

Event Details:

When: Sunday July 24, 2011 and Monday July 25, 2011

Time: Sunday @ 5 PM EDT, Monday @ 6 PM EDT

Where: Online in the comfort of your own home!

Casting by: HolidayDoc and Cory Dunn; the voice's of the 2011 MLG Circuit!

Format: 32 Team Single Elimination Bracket

Prizes: $150.00 to winning team

How to Register a Team:

1. At the 'Home' Page in upper right, choose 'Register Team'
2. Choose 'Create New Team" - Team Captains are asked to create the teams
3. Fill out required information. Teams are strongly encouraged to include a professional looking graphic as their team logo for use during casting/streaming.
4. Create a Team Password and give it out to only players on your team!
5. Have your teammates 'Join Existing Team'
6. Go to Event Page and if your team has the required roster size, you will be able to JOIN EVENT.

After 15 mins the forfeit the first map. Also teams have a 5 minute grace period between maps for any break necessary. 2. The lower seeded team (farther from 1) will host the odd numbered maps while the higher seeded team (closer to 1) will host the even numbered maps. 3. The team not hosting will get to pick the starting side for the map. 4. No Killstreaks are allowed 5. Anyone caught cheating will be removed immediately! 6. A suitable host must be found through a short lag test. If teams cannot agree on a host, invite "Prestige Z" and your problem will be resolved. 7.
