1. CSN Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Tournament
16 teams will compete in 5v5 Search and Destroy in a best of 3 format.

1.1.1 Tournament Game
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare including version 1.7 patch. PromodLive 2.11 NE will be the competition mod used.

1.1.2 Tournament Size
The CSN Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Tournament consist of up to sixteen (16) teams and be played 5v5.

1.1.3 Eligibility and Seeding
Eligibility and seeding will be determined by a committee of qualified individuals consisting of tournament staff and select community individuals.

1.1.4 Server Settings
Servers will use Promod_Mode match_knife_mr12. In the event of overtime, Promod_Mode knockout_mr3 will be used.

1.1.5 Map Pool
• mp_backlot
• mp_citystreets
• mp_crash
• mp_crossfire
• mp_strike

1.1.6 Fair Play Rule
Participants are expected to play by their full capacity at all times. Deliberately losing will not be
tolerated and will result in disqualification.

1.1.7 Timeouts
Each team may call one (1) timeout per half per map for technical reasons. Players are not
allowed to call any timeouts for tactical reasons; doing so may result in a map loss or score
penalty.

1.1.8 Technical Failures
In the unlikely event of a server crash, client crash, or other technical failure (deemed as such
by the Tournament Director), the appropriate measures will be decided on an individual basis.

1.1.9 Final Check-in
All participants must check-in on the CSN Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Event page on the CSN website or at the CSN BYOC Booth tournament area one hour before the event start time of Thursday, August 4th at 11:00pm.

1.1.10 Warm-up
It is the responsibility of all players to be ready to play at the scheduled event start times.

1.1.11 Tournament Format
The tournament will consist of one (1) single elimination bracket of sixteen (16) teams of five (5) players. All matches will be played as a Best of 3 series until the Finals. The Finals will be played as a Best of 5 series.

1.1.11.1 Rounds One Through Three Map Selection and Side Slection
Rounds One through Three will utilize bo3 Drop, Pick map selection format:
1. High Seed chooses a map to drop from the map pool.
2. Low Seed chooses a map to drop from the map pool.
3. High Seed picks the first map to be played in the set.
4. Low Seed picks the second map to be played in the set.
5. In the event of a tie, the remaining map will be used as a tie breaker.
A map may not be picked or removed more than once per match set.
To determine side selection on each map, players will play a knife round. The winner of the knife round will determine which side they wish to start the match on for that map.

1.1.11.2 Finals Map Selection
Finals will utilize bo5 Pick, Pick, Pick, Pick map selection format:
1. High Seed chooses a map from the map pool.
2. Low Seed chooses a map from the map pool.
3. High Seed chooses a map from the map pool.
4. Low Seed chooses a map from the map pool.
5. In the event of a tie, the remaining map will be used as a tie breaker.
A map may not be picked more than once per match set. No maps may be dropped in the Finals.

1.1.12 Prize Distribution

1.2 Client Settings and Customization

1.2.1 Client Demos and Screenshots
All players are required to take demos of every map played and a screenshot of the scoreboard at halftime and the end of the match to show results. Failure to do so in the event of a match dispute could result in disqualification from the event.

1.2.2 Menu, Console Commands, and Cheating

1.2.2.1 Players may use the in-game GUI or console for configuration settings. All options available via the in-game menus are authorized for use in tournament play.

1.2.2.2 Device drivers which permit players to see through walls, or enable any form of transparency not intended by id Software, are strictly forbidden and grounds for immediate removal from the tournament.

1.2.2.3 Players may use alias binding, however, no alias may be used which in any way
inhibits the ability of an opponent to perform a legal action in the game.

1.2.2.4 Except for control drivers and device settings, no commands or third party tools are allowed
outside the game or in the command line.

1.2.2.5 Your player model and colors must remain the same throughout the course of a
match.

1.2.2.6 Any commands or combination of commands outside of Promod 2.11 NE that allow seeing
through walls, player warping, message spamming, auto-aim, radar, FPS boosts or similar action will be
considered cheating and grounds for disqualification.

1.2.2.7 Questions regarding setting of variables and commands and how they relate to
cheating should be brought to a tournament official before your first match.

1.2.2.8 There is zero tolerance for cheating. If a participant is caught cheating, they will
face disciplinary actions up to and including disqualification from competition.

1.2.2.9 Tournament officials reserve the right to access player configs, .exe’s and any other files related to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare during tournament play to ensure fair play.

1.2.3 Custom HUDs
Custom HUDs will be allowed, but only following verification and approval from tournament
administrators. Custom Player HUDs should not relay additional information beyond what is
available on the official Small, Normal, or Large Player HUDs.

1.3 CSN Administrator’s Exclusion from events
CSN Event Admins are forbidden to join CSN sanctioned events unless given prior approval by the Cyber Sports Network Director. Any CSN Admin who participates in an event must excuse him/herself from administrative duties for that event and is not allowed to accept any prizing.

Right now the CoD4 is scheduled for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The reason for this is the number of other events we will be running. Im Usurp btw iBex.
