Harley-QUINN Defeats Vo0 in Quake Live Open Duel Finals

in

At last year's QuakeCon, a virtual unknown named 'Ziel', took home the Quake Live Open Duel Championship and is now considered a top 5 North American Dueler. The 2011 QuakeCon did not have an official Open Duel Event for the first time in years and it appeared that those that make up the base of the community would be left without a chance to prove their skills. That is where the Cyber Sports Network stepped in with $1000.00 in prizing and offered the BYOC participants an opportunity to compete.

Before the event would even start and players were allowed to register, ORGIN Computers donated a $2500+ custom configured gaming laptop to the event. Of course, as news spread of an increased prize pool, the number of participants that registered jumped and the brackets began to fill. One of those players joining the list of rising stars was a previous FPS champion named Vo0. As the word spread that he would be entering the event, there were several top amateurs saying that now the fight was for 2nd place.

As the matches began, it looked as if Vo0 would run away with it and the battle would indeed be for 2nd place. The top 8 were very close to the seeds that were set in place prior to the start of the event, but the end produced a surprising result. Harley-QUINN would upset Vo0 in the Finals 3 maps to 1 and take home a large piece of the $1000 and the new ORGIN Laptop!
