CSN Official Rules [Updated 4/17]

I had a discussion with the admins and this is what we came up for the rules. What are your thoughts about those ones?

1. 5 v 5 SND
2. 7 Rounds/ Per Half
3. Killcam : Off
4. Friendly Fire : On
5. Join In-Progress : On
6. Abilities : Off
7. Away team will choose side.
8. Teams will switch sides after first half of game or after the forfeiting a half.
9. Rooms must have a password and the password must be provided by the home team.
10. Match will be restarted if the room setup is incorrect.

Myb cause even though it is part of warfare, it has been used in the past and if you use flashes before smokes, your blind for over 10-20 seconds depending on how hard you get hit by the flash and when they drop the smokes. I personally don't care either way but that might be one reason outside that older computers screens have gotten damaged from the flash, or thats the rumor.

As much as I like the map too, after going through it the other day...there was too many glitches in the map itself to get added to the map rotation. I'm sorry but Short Fuse will not be added back.

And if you see someone glitching the window just snap a SS and automatic disqualification. I trust a good amount of teams won't use it if they know it's not allowed. It's just to good of a map to remove.

The only way to actually catch the flash and such would be a screenshot of each user ingame on their screen during the load phase. People can bring frag packs in and you can count 4 nades still. So befoe the first round of each half, maybe screenshot ur support slot (so there is a time stamp showing what you have when you have it) and if a team is accused of having the wrong amount of equipment, show the screenie.

CBL and CA website update with every server switch. If I put on flashes, switch servers, it will update to show I have flashes. But its easier to just count them, and then look at the website to confirm. AC will also most likely be able to catch it. And flashes aren't broken, they just last a long time

I'd still play. But it's not like you can turn around for flashes to minimize the effect.

Back to the ruleset: I see being only 1 scope as problematic though, because some guns come preequipped with scopes. I mean, if 1 person on the team had a G36E, then no one else is able to use iTech sights on any of their guns.

So if someone on my team had a G36E, I wouldnt be able to use the M417. Is this intentional, accidental, or am I reading it wrong?

The window glitch is patched... i liked to abuse it in golf rooms ;) the only glitch that ik of that still works on shortfuse is a lottery shot... only have done it twice and you have to lag load into the game to even be able to attempt it.... but it's so out rageous and obviously a glitch that no one would be able to use it anyways....

Keep in mind this video is a few months old so may have to recheck these places. Seems that the glitch occurs when a body part is through the window.

Oh and let me be clear... I am not a Short Fuse Hater.. I love the map for SnD just want people to be aware of these spots that are in key locations.

The reason Mei isn't allowed is because the Merc fembases are still glitchy, i run about 100 to 120 FPS and even regular fem bases skip around a bit when they sprint and come to a sudden stop. Plus, i still see a couple of Mei users bouncing into the Map flooring. Deckland is a male base and the only difference between a regular male base vs. deckland is that the hitbox near the head is smaller (idr which one has the smaller hitbox) and that's due to the design style of the merc and male base.

Female bases are a big deal in a positive way, because majority of the community do not play because of that. Bit if you think about it, if they are allowed, majority of people will switch and in all honesty there is no problem with killing a female base, they aren't god they aren't invincible, if you can get over the mental block then you will be fine. Hell just make a fem base yourself then its even and you can feel better. But a female base is a compromise, and the community CAN compromise.

With the flash goggles and gp headgear, yes it is allowed, you can wear a cowboy hat, a brazillian hat, anything that is not listed as not allowed.

It is a good universal ruleset that will promote a different and evolved competition scene which is what we are going for.
