CSN StarCraft II Tournament Rules
CSN "GEEKBOX StarCraft II Summer Rush Tournament" Rules
The format is 1v1 single elimination (meaning 1 loss to an opponent) for both the NA and Europe tournaments.
All players will need to fill in their Battle.Net ID field located under the Game IDs section in your user profile . Ex.(CSNANDREW.123)
ALL PLAYERS MUST also use the match system on CSN in order to agree upon a time to play. Simply click “my events” once you are logged in and select the appropriate match link and from there you can either accept default time or propose a new time. Each player will only be able to propose 1 new time. It is strongly encouraged for players to contact their opponents outside of the CSN match system to agree upon a time to play. Players can simply PM their opponents on CSN and talk through them to figure out what time would be best for both players.
CSN will revert back to the agreed upon time in the match system if any disputes are to occur. Also we will be using this to schedule casting for certain matches for the communities to watch.
*Map selection will be based off of a default map chosen by CSN (will vary by each round), there after the looser of the next game will have map choice from a pool selected by CSN.
Tournament Map Pool:
The official maps are: Blistering Sands, Desert Oasis, Scrap Station, Steppes of War, Xel'Naga Caverns, Kulas Ravine, Lost Temple, Metalopolis , and Delta Quadrant.
The rounds format is as follows:
Round of 256 best of 1 game Default Map: Metalopolis
Round of 128 best of 1 game Default Map: Xel’Naga Caverns
Round of 64 best of 1 game Default Map: Steppes of War
Round of 32 best of 3 games Default Map: Blistering Sands
Round of 16 best of 3 games Default Map: Lost Temple
Round of 8 best of 5 games Default Map: Desert Oasis
Round of 4 best of 5 games Default Map: Delta Quadrant
Round of 2 best of 7 games Default Map: Scrap Station
*3rd Place Match best of 7 games and is the same default map as well*
*The losing teams of the semi-finals will compete for 3rd place*
*The Semi-Finals and on will be played out of a best of 7 games format*
*CSN Officials reserve the right to enter any match and observe freely, teams may
be asked for server passwords and match times*
*Players may switch between Terran, Zerg, Protoss, and Random in between any series*
